Water in the spare wheel well: seals, lights and drains

The most common entry point on most vehicles.

Check by removing a cluster — usually a couple of nuts from inside the boot — and looking at the gasket and the recess behind it. Water marks or debris confirm it.

The boot or tailgate seal
