P0447 to P0449: EVAP vent control circuit and the solenoid under the car

What the vent valve does

Two jobs, and they are opposites.

Normally open, so the canister can breathe. Air enters as vapour is purged out, and air leaves as the tank warms and expands.

Commanded closed during the leak test. The ECU seals the system, applies vacuum or watches natural pressure change, and looks for a leak. A vent valve that cannot close makes leak testing impossible.

That second function is why a vent valve fault often shows up as a leak code rather than a vent code: P0455 EVAP large leak and P0442 small leak.

Location is the whole problem

The vent valve is mounted under the vehicle, usually near the fuel tank or the canister. That puts it in the direct path of road spray, salt and grit for the entire life of the car.
