Closed-loop

Closed-loop is the ECU operating mode where it uses the O2 sensor signal to fine-tune fuel delivery. The engine goes closed-loop after warm-up (ECT > 60°C / 140°F) and once the O2 sensor reaches operating temp. Open-loop is used on cold start and at wide-open throttle.
