P0087: fuel rail pressure too low — pump, filter or regulator?
P0087 means actual rail pressure fell short of the commanded value. Comparing desired against actual pressure under load tells you whether to blame the filter, the pump or a leaking regulator.

P0088: fuel rail pressure too high and what it does to injectors
P0088 is rarer than its low-pressure twin and more urgent. Excess rail pressure stresses injectors and pipework, and the cause is nearly always a control valve that stopped controlling.

P0090 and P0091: fuel pressure regulator control circuit
