P2088 and P2089: camshaft actuator A circuit low and high
The electrical half of the variable valve timing system. Low or high circuit means a wiring problem — but the reason it failed is usually still the oil.

P0010 and P0013: camshaft actuator circuit — the solenoid, not the phaser
These two codes name a circuit, and the circuit is usually fine. What actually fails is the oil control solenoid, and what causes that is the oil.

P0365 to P0369: camshaft position sensor B circuit
Sensor B is usually the exhaust camshaft. On a twin-cam engine with variable timing on both shafts, that sensor is doing real work — not sitting there as a spare.

Cam timing codes almost never start with mechanics — they start with oil. A blocked control valve screen, pressure that will not hold, a cam that refuses to move on command. Why this is the cheapest repair among those that look expensive.
